Why sponsor a Storm Chaser? Our featured storm chasers regularly appear on television, in newspapers and magazines and on web sites around the world. Our family of web sites typically gets over 3000 hits every day! You can even download videos of our chasers via mobile phones. Our storm chasers help run a number of storm chasing tours and weather related activities so they are always in the public eye. If you have a product that you would like to have associated with extreme weather conditions then you have found the right people to help you achieve that goal. Ideally we are looking for manufacturers and distributors of products that we find essential, for example good quality water proof clothing, weatherproof torches, meteorological equipment, weatherproof storage containers, ruggedised laptops and GPS equipment, photo and video equipment plus personal safety and survival gear. A more comprehensive list is given below. In return we will use your equipment, and if it meets our requirements it will receive our "Storm Chaser Tested" seal of approval and be advertised across our whole family of web sites. We will also provide video clips and photographs of your product in use in some of the worlds most extreme conditions. There is also every chance that your product will appear on television or in a newspaper or magazine article. As an example, storm chaser Alister Chapman has been working with the BBC on a feature about thunderstorms and a weather phenomenon called the "Spanish Plume". During the filming Alister made extensive use of a hand-held anemometer, PDA with GPS and wore the same waterproof jacket throughout the shoot. These products will be seen by an expected audience in excess of 2 million people when the programme is broadcast in the UK, Alister will also be featured on the BBC web site. Image how much it would cost to place an advert with such a broad reach. As another example Alister has been using a special camera tripod supplied by a company called Vinten. Vinten have been using picture of Alister using this tripod while filming tornadoes as a way of demonstrating the ruggedness of the product and also associating the product with adventure and excitement.
