Storm chasers like to get close to some of natures most violent weather. They seek out Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Cyclones, Waterspouts and Thunderstorms as they search for the ultimate storm. This site is run by top British storm chaser and television professional Alister Chapman. Although a UK based site this storm chasing domain aims to bring you all the very latest severe and extreme weather news from around the world. To date Alister has intercepted 56 confirmed tornadoes and hurricanes, escorted journalists and reporters from 6 TV channels and 5 national and international newspapers and magazines on 100% successful tornado and extreme weather intercepts.

Alister's first tornado chase of the 2008 season was a great success. Alister spent the last 2 weeks of April driving over 5000 miles through Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and Texas. On the 23rd of April he intercepted an incredible Supercell thunderstorm near the town of Patricia, Texas that produced a large tornado. The storm had amazing inflow winds and was spinning like a top. At first the tornado was wrapped in rain and impossible to see, but after a while the tornado appeared from behind the rain curtains allowing Alister to get some great video. Northern Lights Arctic Expedition.

As part of The Elemental Project we spent 4 days in the mountains in Northern Norway. We got some incredible footage as our trip coincided with a geomagnetic storm. A full update will follow soon, but to some up we spent 3 nights in temperatures down to -24c under crystal clear skies filming horizon to horizon arcs of green, blue and red lights. Amazing! This was an amazing experience and I suggest that everyone should try to see the Aurora Borealis at some time in their life!

Burma Cyclone Kills Over 22,000

The full impact of Cyclone Nargis that hit Burma on May 3rd is still not known. The countries principle city Rangoon is flooded and with out power and running water. The large rice gowning areas in the South are also flooded which may lead to long term food shortages. Many aid agencies are predicting that the death toll will continue to rise significantly. The combination of 120 mph winds, poorly constructed buildings and large areas of low lying land have contributed to the high death toll. Many areas are still cut off and until aid workers reach the more remote regions the total death toll will remain unknown.
